SpaceWorks boasts state of the art visualisation facilities that are used by researchers, students and external clients. These facilities are available for hire

3D Theatres The Swinburne virtual reality theatre seats an audience of up to 40 people. Windows, Macintosh and Linux machines power the facility which is equipped with a passive (polarising) projection system to produce stereoscopic 3D effects. Perfect for serious scientific visualisation and corporate events with an edge.
Render Farm An 80 machine Windows render farm is available for hire. The machines are hyper threaded Pentium 4 machines with 1 GB of memory. The machines support 3DS Max 7 and 8. For major projects (subject to approval), use of the Swinburne Supercomputer can be negotiated - brining the total number of machines up to 260.
Portable 3D Theatres This portable passive projection system incorporates a 1.8 metre wide screen, 2 XGA projectors, a PowerMac G5 and 50 pairs ofpolarized glasses. The complete unit packs into 2 boxes for easy transportation and only requires 20 minutes to setup.
Stereo Video Camera The Digital Stereoscopic Video Camera uses 2 high quality 25 FPS progressive scan video recording. Equipped with a professional tripod and dolly, system allows for the production of high quality stereo video. The system has been widely used, and SpaceWorks can consult on the design, filming and editing of any stereo filming project.
